How to Cross Landlines on Skype
You can cross landlines on Skype by purchasing a subscription or Skype Pay-As-You-Go credits. A subsidiary of Microsoft, Skype is a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service enabling users to make calls via microphone and speaker-equipped computers. Originally intended only for Skype-to-Skype subscriber conversations, the company has expanded its offerings to include Skype calls to mobile and landline telephones -- though unlike Skype-to-Skype service, you'll have to pay for them.
