How to Remove Metadata From Sony ACID

Sony's ACID Music Studio software lets you turn your computer into a portable recording and mixing studio. The program supports song metadata, which is necessary for a song's title to appear within programs like Winamp or iTunes correctly. If you want to remove or edit metadata, you can access it from the ACID menu.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the Sony ACID software program, and then open the project from which you want to remove metadata.

    • 2

Click "File" on the top menu, and then click on "Properties."

    • 3

Click on "Summary" to access the file's metadata.

    • 4

Delete or change the information in the "Title," "Artist," "Engineer," "Copyright" and "Summary" fields.

    • 5

Click on "Apply" to save the changes, and then click on "OK" to close the window.

Tips & Warnings

  • To remove metadata from an MP3 or another audio file you've created using ACID, right-click on the file and select "Properties." Click on "Details" to access the audio file metadata, and then delete the information from the fields.
