How to Focus Point an Image on Picnik
Online photo editing programs like Picnik make it easy to create crisp, interesting photos without an expensive camera. Use the site's focus tools to alter a photo as though you used an advanced aperture setting, where only part of the image is in focus and the rest of it is blurry. Most of the focus tools in Picnik are free, and the program always saves a copy of your original photo, in case you decide you dislike the focus effect later.

1
Go to the "Home" tab of the Picnik homepage after you sign in and click the "Upload a Photo" icon. Navigate to the folder that contains your photo using the pop-up window that shows your hard drive, click once on the photo, and choose "Open."
-
2
Go to the "Edit" tab, if Picnik does not direct there automatically. Scroll down to the "Area" group of editing tools using the scroll bar on the left side of your screen.

-
3
Choose a focus tool from the five provided. All but one of the features are free -- only "Fancy Focus" is a premium feature that requires a paid subscription. All focus tools accomplish the same result; one area of your photo will be focused and clear while the surrounding area will be distorted or blurred in some way.
-
4
Click on the area of the photo that you want to remain in focus. Use the "Focal Size" slider, located just under the name of your focus tool, to change how large the focus area is.
-
5
Click on the "Apply" button under your focus tool to save the changes to your photo.
