1
Start by spraying volumizing spray onto dry, unwashed hair. Hair is easier to style when it isn't soft and clean.
-
2
Roll your hair on large, wide hot rollers. These rollers are designed to give your hair volume as opposed to tight curls. Let the hair stay in the rollers for 20 minutes.
-
-
3
Spray a small amount of hair spray on the rollers. Let it dry for one minute. Use hair spray in an aerosol can because it doesn't weigh the hair down when spraying. Pump sprays go on wetter and can hinder your ability to create volume.
-
4
Remove the curlers from your hair. As you're removing them, gently rest the curls on your shoulders. Don't comb your hair out.
-
5
Separate the top section of your hair from the bangs area to the crown. Lift this section up and use the comb to backcomb the area at the roots. Tease the hair towards the root to give the hair some lift.
-
6
Scoop out a dime-sized amount of hair paste or wax. Rub the product in your hands to warm it up. Once it's warm, it will spread out over your hands.
-
7
Flip your head over and run your hands through your hair. Scrunch and grab the hair as you go to create texture.
-
8
Flip your head back up. Arrange your hair and apply a little more product if necessary. Once you have your hair where you like it, spray it with a generous amount of hair spray.

9
Brush your dry, unwashed hair smooth before you add anything to it.
-
10
Scoop out a quarter-sized amount of hair wax. Rub the wax in your hands to warm it up. It will spread over your hands and become the correct consistency.
-
11
Rub the wax through the top of your hair, coating as much of it as possible.
-
12
Tousle your hair back and forth with your hands to create some texture.
-
13
Grab the middle section of the very top of your hair by placing it between your two hands. This is the section that is located where a center part would go. Pull your hands upward until the hair slips out. The hair should be standing straight up.
-
14
Shake your head so the spiked section falls naturally. Spray with a small amount of hair spray to finish.
