How to Make Feather Bracelets
Feathers play an essential role in Native American culture and ceremonies, but they have also found their way into mainstream fashion in pieces from clothing to accessories such as bracelets. Whether feathers are symbolic for you, or you just enjoy the look of them, they can easily be made into a bracelet with minimal time and tools.
Things You'll Need
- Suede Lace
- Feathers

1
Cut a piece of suede lace a little larger than the diameter of your wrist. If it's too short, the bracelet will not fit. If it is too long, the bracelet may fall off. Set the suede aside.
-
2
Take two feathers and wrap the ends of them together tightly with 2 inches of beading or florist wire.

3
Use a hot glue gun to place a dot of glue on the end of the stuck-together feathers. Stick the glued end immediately into a jewelry closure coil and hold it until the glue sets. The jewelry closure coil provides the hook necessary to thread the feather onto your bracelet.
-
4
Repeat the feather and coil step until you have four or five charms, depending on how many feathers you want on your bracelet and the size of your wrist.
-
5
Start threading your bracelet by taking a mixture of the feathers and wooden beads -- or whatever other charms or beads you like -- and placing them in a pattern. Tie a small knot after each set of beads and before each feather to help keep the different parts of the bracelet in place.
-
6
Place a crimp end tube on each end of your suede lace. Choose one with a loop and one with a hook so that you can clasp the bracelet around your wrist. Take your chain-nose pliers and crimp the tubes over the suede to finish the bracelet.
