Instructions

Snake the drain to remove any clogs that may have built up and are causing the gurgling sounds. Run a long plumber's snake into the drain and move it around until it finds the clog. Remove the clog and run water down the drain.

Pour baking soda down the clogged drain. If the snake didn't get the whole clog, the combination of baking soda with white vinegar should finish the job. Follow the baking soda with vinegar, which will produce a chemical reaction and clean the drain, removing any clogs.

Check the plumbing vent pipes. A pipe that is broken, cracked or wasn't installed properly can be the source of the problems. The vent pipe or pipes may need to be replaced. New pipes can be purchased at a hardware store, or you may need to contact a plumber to reinstall or replace vent pipes.
