How to Transfer Contacts to a Prius
If you want to drive safely, you should use the built-in speakerphone that comes with your Toyota Prius. Although you can make calls directly from the mobile phone and hear the caller in the speakers if the phone and car audio system are connected via Bluetooth, it is easier to transfer the contacts to the car's memory and dial them from the navigation screen. The process is not difficult.

Turn on your Toyota Prius. If you don't want to turn the engine on, you can leave it in ACC mode.

Connect your mobile phone to your car's navigation system via Bluetooth. If you successfully connect the phone to the car, the Prius's display alerts you that a Bluetooth connection has been established.

Locate and press the small "Info" button. It will be near the navigation display.

Press the small "Telephone" button you see on the Prius's navigation display.

Press the "Settings" on the resulting screen and use the arrows to find the "Transfer Phone Data" section.

Press the "Start Transfer" button in the Transfer Phone Data section. Select "Overwrite" on the display to avoid getting duplicate entries. The Prius's computer now waits for contacts to be sent via Bluetooth. It cannot extract them from your mobile phone automatically.

Select what contacts you want to send from your mobile phone and select to send them via Bluetooth. The process differs from phone to phone, but in modern phones Bluetooth is usually easily accessible from a Main or Settings menu.

Disconnect the phone from the car and test if all contacts are properly saved in the Prius's memory. Make a test call to check if everything works as expected.

Tips & Warnings
Some mobile phones may be unable to send contacts to a Toyota Prius.
Contacts must be saved in standard format (without spaces or special characters) to avoid errors after the transfer.
