How to Download Music With SkreemR & Songbird

SkreemR and Songbird are two third-party resources you can use to download your favorite songs. SkreemR does not directly offer music for downloading. Instead, it functions as an MP3 search engine that searches the Web for your favorite songs. There is no charge to download music you find using SkreemR. However, a fee is charged to download Songbird music. The exact fee you pay on Songbird depends upon the song you want to download.

      Visit the SkreemR website at skreemr.co.

      Type into the “MP3 Search” field the name of a song you want to download or the name of an artist whose music you'd like to find. Click the search button to start your search.

      Locate the requested song title or artist name in the search results list. Click the “Download” button that is located beside the song.

      Wait for the song to download onto your computer. Depending upon the speed of your Internet connection, it can take a few seconds or longer to download your song.

    Songbird

      Download and install the Songbird software program onto your computer. A download link is available on the Songbird website at getsongbird.com.

      Click the Songbird icon from your computer desktop to open the program. If no desktop icon is available, click your Windows “Start” button and “Programs” to locate and open the program.

      Look underneath the “Services” tab, located on the left side panel. Click the “7 Digital Store” link.

      Locate the search box in the top right-hand corner of the page. Type into the search box the name of the song or album you want to download. Press “Enter” on your keyboard.

      View the search results to locate the song you want to download. Click the “Buy MP3” or “Buy Album,” whichever is applicable, to purchase and download the song to your Songbird library.
