How to Free Memory From iMesh
IMesh is a peer-to-peer, or P2P, file sharing program that allows users to transfer music, artwork and videos directly without the use of a central server. IMesh is affiliated with iTunes; you can download files during the free 14-day trial, but you have to pay a small fee to keep them afterward.
One problem with iMesh is its high memory usage that can cause your computer to perform slowly. To resolve this, cap iMesh's memory usage.
Instructions

-
1
Open iMesh, then click "File" and "Preferences."
-
2
Click "Connections." Look in the drop-down box for the number of simultaneous downloads and uploads. The default settings are 10 downloads and two uploads.
-
-
3
Reset these values by using the arrows or typing the number. Limiting the number of downloads and uploads decreases the amount of bandwidth and memory needed by the application. Click "Apply" and "OK."
-
4
Press "Ctrl," "Shift" and "Esc" simultaneously to open the Task Manager.
-
5
Right-click on the iMesh option under the Applications tab and select "Go To Process."
-
6
Click "End Process." This closes the iMesh window and frees up any space it was using.

Tips & Warnings
Download one or two files at a time to keep your memory usage low. This also enables files to download faster because bandwidth isn't spread over multiple files.
