How to Make a cPanel PCI Compliant
Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance is required for e-commerce sites to ensure your site is safe for credit card purchases. PCI compliance ensures that your website users are secure from viruses and phishing attempts. The cPanel software controls the way Apache runs a website, so you use cPanel to add an SSL certificate to the website. SSL is a security protocol that protects users and encrypts data sent back and forth on a website. Encryption ensures that credit cards and banking information are not stolen by hackers.
