Adding Turn Blinkers to a Bicycle or Motorcycle
For street riding on bikes or motorcycles, nothing beats blinking lights to indicate your intentions. Adding aftermarket blinkers to your bike can save your life and make it easier to navigate in traffic. Modern LED blinkers run on batteries. They are bright, and there are types to fit on any bike. The batteries have long life, can be replaced, and the complete package is affordable. For safety, you can't beat bright red blinkers on both handlebars. Install them in minutes with only a screwdriver.

1
Open the circular ring under the LED light. It's a small circle with a Phillips-head screw. Turn the screw counterclockwise with a screwdriver until the circle separates and comes apart.
-
2
Position the light facing to the rear on the outermost part of your handlebar as close to the shifters as possible. The light must be seen from behind. Slip the semi-circle part of the clip over the handlebars.

Fit the other half of the ring in place on the front side of the handlebars. Screw the Phillips screw together until the LED light system is tight. Flip the switch on the bottom of the LED light with your thumb to turn on the blinker. Do both sides.

Tips & Warnings
There are all types of LED systems. Some have a longer arm to hold the lights out and up. This is typically a motorcycle system. It works exactly the same way. Others have small lights that fit on the forks of the bike. They also work the same way. They have Phillips screws that hold the switch and the light on the bike.
Don't over-tighten the screws holding the LED light to the handlebars. There is a rubber grommet inside the semi-circle; when it begins to bulge, it's tight enough.
