Wedding Hairstyle With Pulled Back Curls

Decide on your wedding hairstyle early in your planning since it may take practice and experimenting to get it perfect. If you are looking for an alternative to traditional structured wedding hairstyles, choose a style with pinned back curls. Pinned back curls create a loose updo and a more modern style. This hairstyle will create an elegant wedding updo that can be worn with any style of dress.

Things You'll Need

• Hot curlers
• Hair spray
• Teasing brush
• Bobby pins

Instructions

1. Roll hot curlers in dry hair and leave them in for about 15 minutes if you have thin hair or 30 minutes for thick hair.

2. Remove the curlers and gently run your fingers through the curls to loosen them. Lightly spray hair spray over your entire head.

3. Create volume by using a teasing brush to tease the hair at the crown of your head. To tease hair, hold a section of the hair straight up and use the brush to comb the hair underneath. When combing, start about four inches from the roots and brush the hair down towards the roots. Spray the teased hair with hair spray before smoothing the hair on top.

4. Grab a 3-inch wide section of hair starting near the top of your head. Twist the section 2 to 3 times and use booby pins to secure it to the middle back of your head. Continue twisting and pinning sections of hair until all the hair is pinned and a curly bun is created.

5. Leave the curls hanging loosely at the back of your head or tuck the ends into the bun and secure with booby pins. Finish by spraying the updo with hairspray.
