How to Remove a Maximum Length Bookmark

If you are attempting to delete a bookmark with an unusually long name or Web address, the Delete button may not appear within your window, depending on your browser. This means you'll have to use your keyboard or your right-mouse button if you want to delete it from the bookmark or favorites list. Delete the maximum-length bookmark if you no longer need to save the link and want to keep your bookmarks organized.

Instructions

Internet Explorer

1. Open Internet Explorer. Click on the "Favorites" menu bar, and then click on "Organize Favorites."

2. Click on the folder containing the maximum-length bookmark you want to remove.

3. Click on the bookmark you want to remove. Click on the menu "Delete" button. Click on "Close" to close the Favorites menu.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Open Mozilla Firefox. Click on the "Bookmarks" menu link.

2. Click on "Show All Bookmarks" to open the bookmark explorer.

3. Right-click on the bookmark you want to delete, and then click on the "Delete" button.

Google Chrome

1. Open Google Chrome and click on the Wrench icon in the browser's upper right corner.

2. Click on "Bookmarks," and then click on "Bookmark Manager."

3. Click on the bookmark you wish to delete to select it, and then push your keyboard's "DEL" key. Alternatively, you can right-click on the bookmark and select "Delete."
