How to Hang Mesh Butterflies Without Nails

Mesh butterflies can adorn the bedrooms of little girls, adding frilly and colorful decor. Because these butterfly decorations are lightweight, hanging them is not a difficult task. Instructions

    • 1

Mark on the wall with a pencil where you want to hang the butterflies. You usually will find ribbon loops on the back of the butterflies for hanging them on hooks.

    • 2

Saturate the cleaning cloth with isopropyl alcohol and rub the wall surface lightly where you will install the hooks. Allow the wall to dry thoroughly.

    • 3

Examine the adhesive strip that affixes to the back of the hook -- one side has a red liner and the other side has a black liner. Remove the red liner from the strip and affix it firmly to the back of a hook. Remove the remaining black liner from the hook and press the hook onto the wall firmly. Continue pressing the hook for 30 to 60 seconds for secure mounting.

    • 4

Hang the mesh butterfly from the hook by the ribbon loop.

    • 5

Repeat the same process with remaining hooks and mesh butterflies.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you wish to remove an adhesive hook, hold the hook gently with your fingers without pressing too firmly. Pull the protruding adhesive tab from the bottom of the hook straight down at least 6 inches. The adhesive will separate from the wall, and the hook will come off.

  • Never pull the adhesive tab toward you when removing the hook -- this may cause it to fly off unexpectedly toward your face and/or cause damage to the wall.
