Remove any excess dirt or mud from the bottom of your boots by hitting your boots against one another. Knock any interior dirt loose by turning the boots upside down and repeating the process.
-
2
Scrape any additional dirt and dried mud from the boot with a nylon brush. Pay careful attention to any crevices on the bottom of the boot, particularly where the soles meet the uppers.

3
Remove the boots laces, if any, and place them in a bowl of warm water combined with 1 or 2 tablespoons of mild household cleaner. Allow the laces to soak in this solution while you clean your boots, then rinse them well and let them air dry.

5
Use a mild household cleaner for stubborn spots or stains on synthetic rubber or plastic boots. Scrub the affected area with a soft sponge or cloth and rinse the boot well.

6
Use a mild leather cleaner for synthetic leathers. Scrub the cleaner into the boot with a soft-bristled brush. Allow the boot to air-dry.
Drying and Conditioning
-
7
Allow the boots to dry completely before applying any conditioner or wearing them. Do not use a clothes dryer or any other artificial heat source to quicken the drying process.
-
8
Use a leather conditioner and weather-proofing solution to help prevent future stains and water damage to synthetic leathers.
-
9
Place each boot on a wooden shoe horn to help absorb any additional moisture while helping to keep the boots' shape.
