How to Upload an NMEA Stream by Way of an IP Address
Combing data from devices such as a GPS unit is done by using a multiplexer. One type of multiplexer used for this purpose is the Brookhouse NMEA. The multiplexer sends a single data stream to the navigation program installed on your computer. This is typically done via a COM post using a serial connection by an attached cable. However, you can also send this data via WiFi to a tablet computer such as an iPad.
