How to Use Fileserve With Idm

Internet Download Manager is a program that lets you download files at faster speeds than you normally can through your browser. IDM includes a feature that lets you remotely connect to sites and databases you have accounts with, allowing you to download files with ease. If you have a FileServe premium account and want to easily download your files with IDM, you can set up IDM to automatically remember your information when visiting download links. You can also download files in bulk using the importer.

Instructions

      Open IDM and click on the "Downloads" menu link, and then click on "Options."

      Click on the "Site Logins" tab. Click on "New."

      Enter "fileserve.com" in the Server/Path field, and then enter your username and password. Click on "OK."

      Click on "New" again. Enter "*.fileserve.com" in the Server/Path field, and then enter your username and password. Click on "OK."

      Open your Web browser and sign in to your FileServe account. Click on "My Account," and then click on "Edit Account." Click on "Advanced Features."

      Check the box next to "Direct Download," and then click "Save."

      Open your Web browser and access the FileServe download link. The IDM popup window will appear. Click on "Download Now" or "Download Later" to download the file.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also batch download files using IDM. Paste each FileServe download link on a separate line in NotePad and save the text file. Open Internet Download Manager. Click on "Tasks," and then click on "Import." Select the text file to download all of the files at once.
