How to Make Your Marshmallow Fondant Look Like Felt
Marshmallow fondant is a creamy confection made primarily from melted marshmallows and sugar. Like other types of fondant, it is commonly used to top pastries and build decorative props for use on cakes. The light, whipped appearance of marshmallow fondant lends itself to texturizing, stenciling and other types of imprinting. All you'll need to make your fondant look like a luxurious piece of felt is icing coloring and a sheet of wrinkled wax paper. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

1
Knead your marshmallow fondant vigorously on a flour-dusted cutting board. The more you work the fondant, the more whipped and airy it will become.
-
2
Split the fondant into several separate pieces. The desired size of your "felt" pieces will determine the size of each fondant segment.
-
-
3
Apply three to five drops of icing coloring to each piece. Knead the fondant thoroughly until the color is evenly distributed throughout.
-
4
Roll each piece of fondant completely flat. Continue rolling until the desired thickness is achieved.
-
5
Crumple up a piece of wax paper until it takes on a finely wrinkled texture. Press the wax paper down firmly onto each segment of flattened fondant. Lift the paper away quickly once the impression is made.
-
6
Cut each segment to the desired size using a pizza cutter. Arrange the pieces of fondant felt on your pastry as desired.
