How to Not Get a Picture Box on Tumblr

Tumblr offers a way to publish short and full-length posts from your computer or mobile device. Although Tumblr is a social website at its core, you may not want to display a portrait photo on the site. Tumblr offers template options that do not include a picture box.

Instructions

    • 1

Sign in to your Tumblr account and click your blog's name in the upper right corner. If you haven't named it yet, click "Untitled."

    • 2

Select "Customize Appearance" to open the themes side panel, then click "Themes" in the upper left corner.

    • 3

Scroll through the list of available themes. Select a theme that does not have a portrait photo, such as One Very Important Thought or Cargo Theme. Alternatively, select a theme that has a picture box, but with an option to hide it. One example is Solstice, designed by Jakepaul.
