How to Look for How Much Battery You Have on the HTC Desire

Having several apps open at once can quickly drain a battery.

Users of the HTC Desire may find that this Android-powered smartphone suddenly turns off when the battery is weak. Knowing how to look for how much battery power is left on the HTC Desire is a simple but important step. You merely need to locate the battery icon or access the battery information via the settings on your HTC Desire.

Instructions

1. Locate the “Battery” icon in the Notifications bar at the top of the screen. If the icon is half-green and half-gray, the battery charge is around 50 percent. If the icon is mostly gray, the battery is mostly depleted. If the icon is completely green, your battery is fully charged. To obtain a more specific reading on the battery, go on to the next step.

2. Press the “Home” button on the HTC Desire and then tap the “Settings” icon.

3. Move down the “Settings” on your HTC Desire and tap the “About Phone” icon.

4. Tap the “Battery” icon in the “About Phone” section.

5. Tap “View Usage” to look for how much battery charge remains on your HTC Desire.
