How to Place an Address Box on an Embedded Google Map

Google Maps provide your users with a better representation of where your business is located and how to find the address and location of your business building. When you copy the Google Maps code, you copy the address in the link, which displays the popup address box in the embedded code. You add the embedded code to your website's HTML to include the map address to your "Contact Us" or "About Us" Web page.

Instructions

    • 1

Open a Web browser and type your business address in the Google search engine. Click the first result, which is your Google Map location.

    • 2

Click the "Link" button in the top-right corner. A configuration window opens. Copy the code in the text box labeled "Paste HTML to embed in website."

    • 3

Right-click the HTML page you want to edit and include your Google Map plugin. Click "Open With" and select your preferred HTML editor.

    • 4

Paste the copied code to the section of the HTML page in which you want the map to display. Save the changes and open the page in a browser to test the new code changes.
