How to Restore a WordPress Blog With WP-DB-Backup

The WordPress platform provides a user-friendly interface to update and manage your blog's content. You can protect the blog's content by creating a backup using the WP-DB-Backup plug-in. The plug-in allows you to schedule an automatic backup of your blog's database, which you can store on your computer. If your WordPress blog is accidentally erased, you can restore the blog from a WP-DB-Backup by accessing the phpMyAdmin database tool on your hosting account.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to your hosting account, then click "PhpMyAdmin" in the Databases section. The PhpMyAdmin page opens.

    • 2

Click the database that you want to restore the WordPress backup to, then click the "Import" tab.

    • 3

Click "Browse" or "Choose File" next to the "Text" box, then go to the backup file on your computer.

    • 4

Click the backup file to select it, then click "Open."

    • 5

Select "SQL" from the "Format" drop-down list, or click the "SQL" button. Click "Go." When the backup process is complete, the Success screen appears.
