Use a hair dryer to set them in place if you have shorter side bangs. With the hair still wet, separate your bangs and comb them forward to dry first. Position your hair dryer right over the bangs and blow the hair downward while using a brush to sweep them to the side. After blowing the bangs dry, apply a dab of pomade through them with your fingertips. Spray the bangs lightly with hairspray to keep them in place.

Use bobby pins and clips to hold your bangs back and change up your style. Comb bangs to the side, wet or dry, and slide them between a bobby pin to hold them in place. Add another bobby pin and cross it over the first one to lock the pins together and keep the bangs to the side. For another bobby-pin style, use a brush and hairspray to tease bangs after drying them. Pull the teased bangs straight back and crisscross two bobby pins to hold them down. Use hairspray to hold the look all day.

Use headbands to keep them in place and out of your face when having a bad hair day with your bangs. Apply hairspray or pomade to slick your bangs straight back on your head and slide a headband over them. If you want to show your bangs off, pull a headband back over your bangs, then use a comb to pull them out and style them to the side. Use a bobby pin to fasten the bangs to your headband and hairspray to keep them in place.
