How to Make a Flower Wreath of Initials
Monograms are a classic way to personalize your home decor, and a floral monogram wreath adds a welcoming touch to any doorway. Initial wreaths made with fresh flowers are an elegant touch for a wedding or party, while you can use silk flowers to make a wreath that will decorate your doorway for months. This project is simple and inexpensive, which allows you to easily create a new flower wreath for each season using seasonal colors and blooms.
Things You'll Need
- Floral wire
- Wire cutter
- Floral tape
- One bunch of flowers (artificial or real)
- Scissors
- Ribbon

Wrap three pieces of floral wire with floral tape. Twist the ends of each piece of floral wire together to make one long piece of wire and tape over the twisted ends.

Bend the long piece of floral tape-covered wire into the desired initial shape.

Trim the stems of each flower with scissors. The remaining stem should be 3 inches long.

Cut a 3-inch piece of floral wire for every flower using wire cutters. Bend the wire to the stem by wrapping floral tape around both the stem and floral wire.

Wrap the floral wire and stems of each flower around the wire initial frame. Start at one end of the initial and continue until the entire frame is covered.

Cut a 12-inch piece of wide ribbon. Tie each end of the ribbon to the back of the wreath to make a loop to hang the wreath.

Tips & Warnings
Larger wreaths may require more flowers.
Flowers with large blossoms, such as roses or carnations, work well.
Fresh flower wreaths will last for two to three days.
