How to Make a Leaf Clover Ring

How to Make a Leaf Clover Ring thumbnail
Even children can create a cloverleaf ring out of craft materials.

A four-leaf clover is the perfect inspiration when making jewelry to honor Irish heritage, perhaps for St. Patrick's Day or a party for an Irish friend. You can make four-leaf clover rings using some basic craft materials and tools, all of which can be found at your local art supply store. Make the rings in bulk to give out to friends as friendship rings, or make just one to wear yourself.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut three pieces of green yarn to about 6 inches long each. Tie the three pieces together at one end, forming a knot.

    • 2

Braid the three pieces together, along the entire length. Then wrap the braid around your ring finger, tying the ends of the braid together so the ring fits snugly. Trim off the excess yarn.

    • 3

Draw the shape of a four-leaf clover onto a sheet of green felt. The clover should be roughly 1 inch square.

    • 4

Cut out the drawn clover shape, and glue it to the top of the yarn ring. Let the ring dry.

    • 5

Sprinkle self-adhesive green glitter over the ring. Shake off the excess into the garbage, then let the glitter dry before wearing.
