Using the ABC method allows students to obtain a comprehensive education while studying a particular topic. Working their way through the alphabet also brings an element of fun to their learning.

      Choose a topic to study, such as animals.

      Assign each letter of the alphabet to a specific animal. For example, A may be alligator, B could be bear and C might represent to cat. Use paper and pen or your computer to record the letters with their corresponding animals.

      Look up a fact about each animal in research books or online. Record the fact next to the animal name. For example, a fact about alligators may be that male alligators are often 12 feet long and can weigh around 400 pounds.

  • You can also add an image to your fact pages, which can be helpful when the students are being introduced to something they have never learned or seen previously.
