How to Move Netflix & Delete the Movies Strip in Windows Media Center 7

Windows Media Center is included with the Windows 7 operating system, and you can fully customize it to fit your preferences. Netflix is incorporated into the “Movies” strip in Windows Media Center by default, but you can change where Netflix is displayed. If you don’t use any of the other menus in the Movies strip, move Netflix out of that section and delete the Movies strip.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Windows Media Center, scroll down to the Tasks strip in the main menu, then click on the “Settings” option next to “Shut Down” and “Learn More.”

    • 2

Scroll down the list of settings to the “Start Menu and Extras” setting and click on it. Click “Start Menu” in the following menu to display your menu configuration options.

    • 3

Deselect the “Movies” option in the list, then select the “Netflix” option. Click the “Save” button. Netflix is moved from the Movies strip to the main menu, and the Movies strip is removed.
