How to Open a Blocked Orkut Site

Proxy sites can be accessed from any computer with an Internet connection, so long as they are not blocked as well.

If you are connected to a network that has blocked Orkut URLs, you may be unable to view Orkut sites, even if you are attempting to do so for business or academic purposes. These restrictions are imposed by the proxy server. It dictates which websites you can and cannot access while browsing the Internet, but it's not foolproof. Proxy sites can bypass the proxy server's restrictions by opening the Orkut URL directly in the site itself, allowing you to open Orkut sites freely.

Instructions

1. Open an Internet browser and navigate to a proxy site. Proxite.me, Xitenow.com and Ipbuzz.net are a few of the available proxy websites. These services are completely free and do not require any subscription or registration to use. In order to use one, you must simply navigate to its URL.

2. Type the URL of the Orkut website in the address bar on the page. Click the "Go" button to navigate to the Orkut website.

3. Browse the Orkut website through the proxy site just as you would if you had accessed the site normally.

Tips & Warnings

• Use proxy sites with caution. Browsing through proxy websites is not as secure as navigating through the Internet browser.

• Do not use proxy sites if doing so violates your Web host's terms of use or any other set of rules associated with the Internet connection.
