How to Troubleshoot a Lennox G43UF
Lennox is a well-known name in home heating and cooling, selling a variety of different products that include air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps and air handlers. Each category of Lennox product has several models. The Lennox G43UF is a cabinet-style gas furnace. If you encounter smaller performance issues with your gas furnace, you can often troubleshoot them yourself and get the furnace up and running again without calling your Lennox dealer. Move any obstructions away from the air openings going to and from the furnace, if the unit won’t work consistently.

Set the gas knob or lever to the "On" position if the furnace won’t light when you want it to.

Check to ensure the electrical disconnect switches are set to "On" if the furnace won’t start.

Set the room thermostat to the temperature you desire if the furnace is making different rooms warmer or cooler than you would like.

Check the fuses or circuit breaker that supplies the furnace if the furnace isn’t coming on at all. Also, ensure that the gas valve is on and that the gas is on at the meter. Check to ensure the manual main shutoff valve is open.

Slide the filter out and inspect it each month. Replace it with a new one when the current filter appears clogged and dirty.
