Instructions

    • 1

Design a pattern for the bracelet. Choose different colored beads to match a specific outfit or select beads that are the same color but different sizes. Line up the beads in a shallow dish to prevent them from rolling. Move them around to create a desirable pattern.

    • 2

Pull some elastic cord from the spool and wrap it around your wrist. The cord should be thin enough to pass through the holes in each bead but thick enough to withstand constant stretching. Match up the end of the cord to determine the measurement of the bracelet, ensuring it creates a loose fit. Add about 2 inches to the measurement and cut the cord.

    • 3

Clamp a bead stopper to one end of the cord. This enables you to string the beads onto the cord without having to tie a knot to hold them on as you work.

    • 4

String the beads onto the cord, following the chosen pattern. Make any adjustments to the color, size or position of any bead before the bracelet is tied off. Wrap the beaded cord around your wrist to determine how many beads are needed to finish the bracelet.

    • 5

Grasp the two cut ends of the cord, allowing the beads to move to the center of the cord. Remove the bead stopper from the cord. Pull the two cut ends together and create an overhand knot. Cross the left strand in front of the right strand. Pull the right strand around the left side and down underneath the left strand. Pull the right strand back up from behind. Repeat this process a second time to create a surgeon's knot. Tighten the knot, pulling the two sides of the bracelet together and transferring the knot to the bracelet.

    • 6

Apply a dot of Super Glue to the surgeon's knot to secure it in place. Wait for the Super Glue dry.

    • 7

Cut the ends of the bracelet at the knot. Push a bead over the knot concealing it from view.
