How to Make a Line Graph in AbiWord
AbiWord is a word processing program especially suited to slimmer computers, only taking up 20MB of space on the hard drive after installation. Although small, AbiWord has a full-fledged plug-in system, making it as extensible as you need. It is completely cross-platform, offering versions for Windows, Mac and Linux; and it offers complete interoperability with all the popular document formats. It will open files from Word, WordPerfect, Palm and OpenOffice, and it will save files in almost any format you need. Making a line graph in AbiWord requires the Gnome Office Chart Wizard, which is installed automatically, and which integrates seamlessly with AbiWord.

Tips & Warnings
To add your data to the line graph, click the "Data" tab under the "Series1" entry in the upper left box. Enter your data in the "Values" box and separate the numbers with commas. Click "Forward" in the bottom right of the dialog box to preview the graph before clicking "Apply," which closes the dialog box and inserts the line graph into your document.
The AbiWord version for Linux has far superior graphing functions than the Windows version. For Windows, you would be better off searching for a different program and importing the graph as an image.
