How to Set Up Foxtel
When you subscribe to Foxtel cable services, an installation technician is automatically dispatched to your home to physically install your cable connection and cable box. You are not responsible for the physical setup of the television hardware. As an added bonus, you can view all of your subscription channels online, as well as download movies. Unlike the physical cable connection, computer viewing does require action on your part. Setting up your computer for Foxtel services only takes a few minutes to complete.

Ensure that you are running a Windows operating system, with a minimum of 500MB of free hard drive space. A broadband Internet connection is also required.

Visit the Foxtel website. Click the “On My PC” tab.

Click “Foxtel Download.”

Click the button labeled “Click Here To Get Started.”

Type your Foxtel username and password into the designated boxes. If you have never used the site before, click “Register” to create a username and password. During registration, you must enter your Foxtel account number and SmartCard number and Foxtel Postcode. If you don't have this information, contact Foxtel to get it.

Click the Foxtel download link to install the software onto your computer.

Open the Foxtel download software on your computer. Browse through the list of available channels and downloads. You can watch any of the channels for free. To download a program or movie, click the radio button that is located underneath the show's thumbnail image. Click “Download Selected Items” from the top toolbar.
