Replace a speaker on your Apple iPod Hi-Fi.

If you want to replace a faulty speaker in your Apple iPod Hi-Fi, you’ll have to disassemble the unit from the front panel. By removing a fascia and some screws, the iPod Hi-Fi will easily come apart, allowing you to extract and replace individual speakers. Take care not to damage the casing of the iPod Hi-Fi while attempting to disassemble the front panel. Once the faulty speaker is replaced and the unit is reassembled, your iPod Hi-Fi will perform as it did when it was new.

Instructions

    • 1

      Remove the fabric front cover.

    • 2

Pry the black fascia from the front of the unit. Work your way around the edge with a thin tool such as a putty knife, gently lifting away the fascia from the front.

    • 3

Remove the screws revealed by removing the black fascia. The speakers will now easily lift away from the unit.

    • 4

Replace a speaker by plugging a replacement speaker into the connector exposed by the removing the faulty speaker.
