How to Replace the Seal Housing on a Magnum Force Jacuzzi

The Magnum Force is a hot tub pump manufactured by Jacuzzi. The Magnum Force pump is held inside what is known as the pump housing. The pump housing is enclosed and secured by a rubber seal. If leakage is observed it may be time to change the seal. This involves removing the old seal and securing a new one in place.

Things You'll Need

• Phillips screwdriver
• Replacement seal
• Marine silicone

Instructions

1. Turn the power off to the pump at the circuit breaker.

2. Remove the screws at the base of the seal or pump housing.

3. Lift the housing upwards to access the old seal. Remove it by hand or, if necessary, use a plastic putty knife to pry it away.

4. Use a gentle spray cleaner and wipe off any sticky or gummy residue from the old seal.

5. Apply a bead of marine silicone along the perimeter of the seal and then press it in place carefully around the bottom of the pump housing.

6. Set the pump housing back in place and then replace the retaining screws.

7. Return power to the Magnum Force by flipping the breaker back on.
