How to Put Trim on Armor

How to Put Trim on Armor thumbnail
RuneScape players can make their armor more ornamental or fierce.

RuneScape is an online role-playing game. The player goes through a series of levels, slaying enemies and collecting items such as coins and supplies. One of the supplies is armor, which helps protect against enemies. There is also trimmed armor that is fancier than the regular type. Although some armor comes pre-trimmed as a reward, upper-level armor can be trimmed by the player.

Instructions

    • 1

Buy a Dragon Full Helm armor set from the Grand Exchange in RuneScape. Only this type of armor or higher can be trimmed. Anything lower than Dragon will not allow you to trim it.

    • 2

Slay a high-level monster in Level 3: Treasure Trails, which will make it drop a clue. Use the clues to solve where the hidden treasure is. One of the prizes for hidden treasure is a gold-trim ornament kit, which allows you to trim your armor.

    • 3

Ask another RuneScape player if you can buy one of his spare ornament kits. Make sure you buy an ornament kit that matches the armor you want to pair it with. A Dragon armor set can only be paired with the Dragon ornament kit.

    • 4

Place the armor and ornament kit in your inventory. You can't trim armor while your avatar is wearing it. Click on the kit and use it to trim the corresponding armor.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can buy an ornamental kit at the Grand Exchange. However, it will cost you a lot of coins, which you may not have for supplies later.

  • If you don't want to trim the armor yourself, there are two pre-trimmed options. The Grand Exchange has a gold-trimmed armor set available for purchase in exchange for a plain armor set and coins.
