How to Record on iTunes Without Losing Sound
You can record CDs using Apple's iTunes software and lose none of the audio from the original audio source. Apple has developed a lossless audio format that preserves all of the original sound from a recording when you import it into iTunes. Then when you record a CD with iTunes, none of the sound will be lost from the original. Note that iTunes can only produce a CD that is up to the quality of the input material, so if you have a lower quality recording or a scratched CD that you're trying to import it may introduce skips and errors.
