How to Reduce STP Drawing Complexity

How to Reduce STP Drawing Complexity thumbnail
3D drawings are usually created by a CAD program.

When you speak of reducing the complexity of an STP drawing, the reference is generally to viewing it's 3D format to two dimensions for viewing. STP, also known as "step," is a format for 3D CAD, or computer aided design, drawing. As such, it can be opened in many CAD programs other than the one the file was created in, but there are, of course, downloadable software sources that can make the 3D/2D conversion for you.

Create a drawing, place your views from the 3D drawing, then use "insert model items" to make the elements appear.

    • 3

Use the following click sequence for importation in the drawing program: Click "insert" -> "drawing view. " Choose "model? or insert", "drawing view", "relative to model?"
