How to Overcome a Grand Cross or T-Square
A Grand Cross and a T-Square are astral formations on an individual's astrological chart, which, if not reacted to in a positive and open-minded manner, could have detrimental effects on the events and outcomes of an individual's life. To truly understand the meaning of the different formations, it's sometimes necessary to use the knowledge and expertise of an astrologer who understands the meaning of aspects in an astral chart. Astrological books and articles can also assist in understanding how to overcome the negative effects of these two formations.

Determine if the formation on your chart is a Grand Cross (also known as a Grand Square) or a T-Square by examining the locations of the planets. A configuration of four planets 90 degrees apart is indicative of a Grand Cross. An individual with this on his chart will have much to deal with to counteract the effects of the four planets working against each other, and is deluged with ongoing challenges and obstacles. A T-Square is a triangle of two opposing planets with the third planet anchoring or grounding the other two. This aspect on an astrological chart indicates obstacles where an individual may be spinning his wheels while focusing on too many issues at any given time.

A Grand Cross formation in an individual's chart can cause that person to flounder about in her personal and professional life with few achievements and little goal retention. If she doesn't fully understand the makeup of her chart and how to counteract these influences, she'll live in a constant state of tension. Balance is what's needed. An individual should seek this in all of her interactions. Paying more attention to family and friends rather than work and success will help her maintain the balance necessary to achieve personal goals. This balance will assist in achieving life goals and ambitions by calming the individual's inner battles and stresses and can push her into monumental growth.

A T-Square formation illustrates an individual who's taken on too many projects and responsibilities. He must learn how to streamline and prioritize projects to bring them to fruition instead of floundering through life trying to do it all. A person who can focus and move forward with his goals can use this strategy to achieve much in his life. Many well-known and very successful people have overcome the negatives of the T-square aspect.
