How to Install RSX Seats in a Civic EG
Acura Integra RSX seats are frequently used to replace the seats in a Honda Civic, as many prefer the appearance and the feel of the RSX seats. According to Geno Storey, owner of ABC Automotive & Interiors, these two car brands are owned by the same company and many components are interchangeable, including the seats. Replace only the driver's seat or replace the front passenger's seat as well so the two front seats match.

1
Remove the plastic covers that conceal the bolts that are securing the seat to the floor. Slide a flat-head screwdriver between the floor and the edge of the plastic cover and twist the screwdriver to pop off the cover. There will be four plastic covers, two toward the front and two toward the back, where the seat brackets meet the floor.

2
Remove the four nuts and bolts securing the seat to the metal brackets on the floor of the Civic EG. The nuts and bolts will be 12 millimeter or 4 millimeter in size, depending on the year of the car. The metal brackets are located beneath the front of the seat on the left and right, and there are an additional two brackets located under the rear of the seat on the left and right.

Bolt the two rails from the Civic seat bottom onto the metal mounting brackets on the underside of the RSX seat bottom. The holes will match up in most instances. If the holes do not match up, hold the rails up to the mounting brackets on the seat bottom and use a pencil to mark out the location for new holes in the rails. Drill new holes in the rails with a metal drilling bit.

Tips & Warnings
The bottom portion of the seat belt is attached to the floor in the Civic EG, so it will not be affected by the seat replacement process.
Most Civic EG seats are not powered. If your car does have power seats, unplug the power cord from the underside of the seat bottom before removing the seat from the vehicle. Plug the power cord into the receptacle on the underside of the new seat after you've bolted it into the vehicle.
Do not attempt to replace the rear seats. Significant customization will be required, since the rear seats are molded into the rear portion of the vehicle. Bring the vehicle to an auto customization shop if you wish to replace the rear seats.
Securely tighten all of the nuts and bolts. If the nuts and bolts are loose, the seat may wiggle or even dislodge during an impact.
