How to Set Up RapidShare on FlashGet 3.5

You can use FlashGet 3.5 to download files from RapidShare. Download managers such as FlashGet offer and improved interface and download-resuming features not available in your Web browser’s download manager. RapidShare doesn’t normally provide direct download links, but you can enable the “Directdownload” option for your RapidShare account to get direct links for FlashGet. FlashGet requires your RapidShare login information so it can authenticate and download the files.

Instructions

      Sign in to your account on the RapidShare website and click the “My RapidShare” tab. You can create a free account on RapidShare’s website if you don’t already have one.

      Click the “On” option to the right of the Directdownload preference on the page.

      Locate a file you want to download on RapidShare and click its “Download” link. You can also open FlashGet, click the “Add” button and enter the file’s address into the URL box.

      Click the down arrow button at the bottom of the Add New Download window and click the “Advanced” button to view advanced settings.

      Enable the “Login to Server” check box by clicking it.

      Type your RapidShare account’s username and password into the Username and Password boxes.

      Click “Save as Default” to save your RapidShare username and password. FlashGet uses them next time.

      Click the “Download” button to start downloading the file from RapidShare.
