How to Put Your WiX on Your IMVU

IMVU is a social networking site that provides users with personalized avatars, 3-D chat rooms and profile pages to showcase their interests and other information. Although IMVU provides people with the ability to do basic style customization to their profile pages -- such as the placement of information panels, colors and backgrounds -- some users choose to place personalized Wix Web pages on their profiles. You do not need any prior knowledge of programming or coding to put your Wix on IMVU.

Instructions

1. Go to the Wix website and follow the steps to create your customized Wix Web page. Copy the embed code on the last page of the Web page creation process.

2. Log in to your IMVU account. Click "My Profile" at the top of the page. Select "Edit Profile."

3. Click the "My URL" panel tab. Click the arrow on the drop-down box and select "Edit custom HTML/CSS" from the menu that appears.

4. Place this HTML code in the text box:

   <iframe src="WIX EMBED CODE" style="width:100%;height:500px"></iframe>

   This creates a new frame on your IMVU homepage on which your Wix Web page will display. Without a new frame, your Wix page will not show on your IMVU profile.

5. Replace the words "WIX EMBED CODE" in the frame code by pasting the Wix Web page embed code into the space between the quotes.

6. Click "Save" and then Click "View My Profile." Your Wix Web page will appear.
