How to Test Local Upload FTP PHP in Dreamweaver 8

Dreamweaver allows its users to select different methods to synchronize files with a Web server, including file transfer protocol. This method can be used to upload any type of file, including PHP files. Dreamweaver incorporates a feature that allows you to test your FTP settings to ensure that your connection settings are correct. You can test your FTP connection settings in Dreamweaver by using a special test command.

Instructions

1. Open the "Site" menu and select "Manage sites."

2. Click on the site that contains the PHP files you wish to upload and select "Edit."

3. Select "Remote info" from the left-hand pane.

4. Click on the "Test" button to test the connection. Dreamweaver will then display a new window that will contain the test's results.
