How to Replace a Broken Screen on a Gateway M275
The monitor on the Gateway M275 is even more delicate than the monitors on most other notebook PCs, because the screen also functions as a tablet. However, while the screen is more susceptible to damage, the monitor is easier to replace. The component is not embedded into the back of the notebook as with some notebook models, but is instead attached to a small, rotatable hinge. You can replace a broken screen on the Gateway M275 without taking the computer itself apart.

Tips & Warnings
If you can't find a separate LCD screen, you must replace the entire monitor. Skip the steps requiring you to separate the screen from its bezel and base; instead, remove the hinge screws and cables securing the broken monitor to the notebook, then install the new monitor in its place.
