How to Remove PayPal Coppermine
Coppermine is a PHP/MySQL photo gallery application that's used in conjunction with Web server software. Some admins install user-made hacks that allow placement of PayPal buttons within the photo gallery. If you want to remove a PayPal hack from an installation of Coppermine, all you need to do is replace any folders that were altered by the hack. The other option is to perform a clean reinstall of Coppermine, but this method will erase your current gallery.

1
Download the latest version of Coppermine from the SourceForge website. Unzip the file contents to your desktop or to any other convenient location within your local files.
-
2
Launch your File Transfer Protocol client and connect to your Web server. Expand your installed Coppermine directories. Create a backup of your current Coppermine configuration. To do this, copy all the currently installed Coppermine folders to a new folder within your local files. Even though your goal is to remove the PayPal hack, you always want to have a backup of a functional version in case something goes wrong.

Upload the newly downloaded Themes folder to your Web server. When prompted, confirm that you wish to overwrite the existing Themes folder. If the PayPal hack you implemented also made changes to other folders, copy and overwrite these as well. If you're not sure which folders the hack affected, check with the person or developers who designed it.
