How to Open MSG Files in an Entourage
Microsoft Outlook exports email messages as MSG files. While the newer version of Microsoft Office for the Mac with Outlook supports importing MSG files directly, older versions with Entourage do not. To open an MSG file in Entourage, you must use third-party software to convert the file to MBOX format first. There are many programs available. Most are paid software, but the demo versions allow you to convert a limited number of MSG files free.

Convert the MSG files to MBOX using an MSG to MBOX converter program. Follow the developer's instructions for opening and converting the file. Most allow you to open the MSG file within the program. Once the file is converted, save it to your Mac desktop.

Open Microsoft Entourage on your Mac.

Double-click the MBOX file you created with the converter program. A Confirmation dialog box will appear.

Click "Import" to open the file in Entourage.

Tips & Warnings
Some conversion software only runs on Windows OS. You must boot your Mac into Windows using Boot Camp. You can also use a Windows machine and transfer the files using a flash drive, or email the file to yourself.
