The Stratus is available for purchase online at stores such as Amazon.com.

The Samsung Status C3050 is a Java-enabled slider phone with Bluetooth capabilities. Syncing contacts with your mobile phone is normally an easy process using a USB data cable. Unfortunately, iSync does not support Samsung phones, so the Stratus doesn't natively sync with Macintosh computers. An alternative way to keep your contacts up-to-date is to pair the Stratus with your laptop and sync via Bluetooth.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Go to "Settings" on your phone, select "Bluetooth Options" and press "Yes" to turn the service on. Select "Set Up New Device" from the Options menu and then "Search For New Devices."

    • 2

Click the Bluetooth icon on your MacBook's menu bar. If you don't see the icon on your menu, open "System Preferences" from the Apple Menu, select "Bluetooth" and check the box in front of "Show Bluetooth Status in the Menu Bar." Turn Bluetooth on and enable "Discoverable" mode.

    • 3

Return to the Samsung Stratus and select your computer from the list. This brings up a pairing request on your MacBook with a temporary PIN. Enter the PIN into your phone and press "OK." Confirm the PIN on your MacBook to establish a secure connection.

    • 4

Go to Applications on your MacBook and launch the Apple Address Book. Click "Address Book" on the main navigation bar and select "Preferences" from the menu. Click the "vCard" icon and change the format to 2.1, then exit Preferences.

    • 5

Hold down the "Shift" or "Command" key to select multiple contacts in the Mac Address Book and drag the highlighted items to your desktop. The contacts copy to the desktop in one .vcf file.

    • 6

Open the Bluetooth menu on your MacBook, roll over C3050 under "Devices" and select "Send File." From your desktop, highlight the .vcf file and click "Send." On your phone, press "Options" and "Save Contact" to add the entries to your phone book.
