How to Prevent Silent Disconnect Boot Codes in Yahoo! Messenger
If you are not careful when you use Yahoo Messenger, you may be subject to a silent disconnect boot code. When this happens, you will either be disconnected from Messenger or your computer will be overwhelmed with message windows, forcing you to reboot. This occurs more often in chat rooms. To protect yourself from being booted by another user or a bot, you need to change a few of your Messenger preferences.
