How to Install Deck Mount Bidet Faucets
A bidet is a wall-mounted porcelain basin used for sanitary purposes. Two faucets mounted on the rear deck of the bidet provide hot and cold water to a diverter valve. The diverter valve controls the flow of the water mix to a spray head in the center of the basin. The porcelain bidet features already-cast holes to accommodate the faucets and the diverter valve. You can install the faucets in your bidet with a few tools, materials and basic do-it-yourself ability. Does this Spark an idea?

Verify that the water supply has been turned off.

Install the lower lock-nut over the faucet stem and onto the threaded base of the faucet. The lock-nut has several lugs extending from its perimeter. Turn the nut clockwise by hand until it is seated at the bottom of the threads.

Set a flat washer over the top of the lock-nut followed by the tapered rubber seal. The tapered end of the seal must face up.

Install the faucet with the stem up through the bottom of either the right or left hole of the bidet.

Hold the faucet in place with the water outlet fitting facing the front of the bidet.

Install a flat rubber sealing washer over the faucet stem followed by a flat steel washer and a six-sided lock-nut. Tighten the lock nut clockwise using an adjustable wrench.

Check the height of the stem from the deck of the bidet to the top of the stem using a measuring tape. Adjust the height of the stem by turning the lower lock nut up or down as needed until the height measures 1 5/8 inches.

Set the trim flange over the stem followed by a lock-nut. Place the trim over the flange and secure it to the deck of the bidet with a plastic trim nut. Tighten the trim nut clockwise by hand.

Install the faucet handle onto the splined end of the faucet. Insert the retaining screw into the center hole of the handle and tighten clockwise using a Phillips screwdriver.

Snap the decorative cap in place. Make sure the cap correctly identifies the faucet as hot or cold.

Repeat Steps 2 through 9 on the remaining faucet.

Wrap pipe sealing tape clockwise around each of the threaded water fittings on the two faucets and the diverter valve.

Connect the flexible hot water supply line to the hot water faucet of the bidet. Tighten the line fitting clockwise using the adjustable wrench.

Connect the cold water supply line to the cold faucet and tighten the fitting.

Install a flexible water line between each faucet and the diverter valve. Tighten the line nuts clockwise with the adjustable wrench until snug.

Restore water pressure to the bidet and check for leaks.
