How to Allocate Bandwidth to a Stream
Allocating bandwidth to a stream is simply a matter of shutting down anything else that uses your bandwidth. While there are ways to manually limit the amount of bandwidth allocated to each service, such a process is very specific to your operating system and the hardware you have available. Some applications also make it possible to limit their bandwidth use (such as torrent clients) but the availability of such options is typically limited across the scope of applications.
Instructions

-
1
Close down any applications that use bandwidth. These are commonly torrents, streaming videos online, online games and downloads.
-
2
Shut down any active anti-virus network scanners. You can turn off the feature manually in your respective anti-virus software, or you can shut the software down entirely.
-
-
3
Open the audio or video stream you wish to watch or listen to. Since no other applications are using your bandwidth, the stream will be able to use everything you have available.
