The Motorola Q9 features a full QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth connectivity, email software, Internet browser and GPS system. The phone operates using Windows Mobile 6 software. You can flash your Q9 to Cricket by overwriting the PRL file within the phone's hard drive. This can be done using the CDMA software included with your phone that allows it to connect with a computer.

      Insert the USB data cable into the side slot on the Motorola Q. Insert the other end of the cable into an open USB port on your computer.

      Open the Motorola CDMA program on your computer. Wait several moments until you receive a notice that program has connected to your Motorola Q phone.

      Open a web browser and navigate to the Corola PRL website at corolada.com. Click the "01050" link under the "Cricket" section of the page. A small prl file downloads to your computer automatically. Remember the file folder where the PRL file downloaded.

      Click the "Phone Provisioning" icon in the CDMA program. Check the box next to "PRL" and then click the "PRL" link. Click the "Open File" button in the PRL page. Use the file browser window to locate and select the 01050.prl file. Click the "Open" button. Click the "Write Phone" button.
